Who is responsible?
ADRIA, Katelijnestraat 141, 8000 Brugge, business number BE 1041.551.158, is responsible for this restaurant website and the processing of reservations. For privacy questions or requests about your information, email info@adriarestaurant.be or write to the postal address above, marked for the person responsible for privacy.
Visiting the website
You can browse the menu, opening hours and contact details without an account. ADRIA uses no advertising pixels or analytics trackers on this website. Hosting providers may process technical connection details, such as an IP address, to display the website, resolve problems and prevent abuse. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in providing a safe, working website.
Your acknowledgement of the cookie notice is remembered only in your own browser. Directions and other external links open only after you click them. The external service’s privacy policy then also applies.
Your reservation
For online reservations, we process your full name, phone number, email address, date, arrival time, party size and selected language. Notes are optional. We use these details to book your table, manage availability, send a confirmation in your chosen language and contact you about your visit, changes or cancellation.
This processing is necessary to carry out your reservation and take preparatory steps at your request. No customer account is required. Without the required details, we cannot process your online booking. Please include only notes needed for your visit; discuss medical or other sensitive information directly with the restaurant.
Reservations are confirmed automatically when enough seats are available. This determines only whether a table is available. Your information is not used to build a marketing profile or subscribe you to a newsletter.
Email and correspondence
We use Brevo for confirmations, changes, cancellations and personal replies. The restaurant receives reservation notifications directly at its Gmail address. Messages to info@adriarestaurant.be are forwarded by ImprovMX to the restaurant’s Gmail and, through Brevo, to the secure inbox in the administration area. These services process email addresses, message content, any attachments and technical delivery data.
The administration area stores received and sent messages and their delivery status. Brevo’s standard features may also record opens and clicks. These are not website cookies; ADRIA does not import this information into the administration area or use it for advertising. Reservation correspondence uses the same legal basis as the reservation. For other enquiries and delivery issues, we rely on the legitimate interest in handling your message correctly.
Hosting and administration
The website uses a hosting platform with Cloudflare infrastructure. The domain is managed at One.com and ARTSAY provides technical support. The administration area is restricted to authorised administrators who sign in with an email address and password. Passwords are stored as a secure hash. An essential cookie keeps the administrator signed in for up to 12 hours; signing out immediately invalidates that session. Derived, hashed security data temporarily limits login attempts to prevent abuse. The owner’s technical connection for maintenance and automatic email processing uses the hosting platform’s protected identity.
Technical providers may process connection and security data. International services may process data outside the European Economic Area, subject to those providers’ applicable privacy terms and safeguards. ADRIA does not use this information for advertising or profiling.
Retention
Reservation details and correspondence are kept for as long as needed to plan your visit, handle changes and questions, and follow up any complaints or disputes. Retention depends on the progress of your enquiry, outstanding arrangements and any applicable legal obligations. Cancelling a reservation does not automatically delete its correspondence. You can ask what information is retained and request its deletion.
The cookie notice acknowledgement remains valid for up to 180 days in your browser. Technical logs, email copies and backups follow the retention settings of the hosting and email services. Test messages are clearly marked and do not create a table booking.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data. Depending on the processing, you may also request restriction, portability or object to processing. Send your request to info@adriarestaurant.be or the postal address above, including enough information for us to assess it. Do not send an unsolicited copy of your identity document.
We normally respond within one month. You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
Management app and notifications
The ADRIA team can install the site and allow notifications. We store the device’s technical push address, encryption keys and notification preferences. Notifications contain no guest identity, contact details or email content; viewing details requires signing in. Depending on the device, Apple, Google, Mozilla or Microsoft processes the encrypted notification. Notifications can be disabled per device; signing out removes that device’s link. Pending notifications are retained for at most 24 hours. The opening animation only remembers whether it has been shown in the current browser tab.
